ChatGPT Setup

Connect OneUp to ChatGPT as a custom MCP plugin to manage your social media with natural-language requests.

Prerequisites

  • A ChatGPT account with Developer mode and custom plugin access. Availability may depend on your ChatGPT plan or workspace settings.
  • A OneUp API key. Generate or manage one on the API Access page.

Create the OneUp Plugin

  1. Open ChatGPT Plugins and select the + button.

  2. Upload an optional custom icon, enter a name for the plugin, and add an optional description.

  3. Under Connection, select Server URL.

  4. Enter the OneUp MCP server URL:

    https://feed.oneupapp.io/mcp/oneup
  5. For authentication, select OAuth.

  6. Read the security notice, select I understand and want to continue, then select Create.

Only connect MCP servers that you trust. OneUp's server can manage data in your OneUp account when you authorize it.

Sign In to OneUp

  1. In the plugin confirmation popup, select Sign in with [your plugin name].
  2. You will be redirected to the OneUp connection page. Enter your OneUp API key, then select Connect.
  3. Review the prompt asking to allow ChatGPT to access your connected OneUp account through the MCP server, then select Authorize.
  4. You will be redirected back to ChatGPT when the connection is complete.

Manage Your MCP Connections

View and manage every authenticated OneUp MCP connection from the MCP Connections page.

From this page, you can see your active MCP connections, disconnect a connection you no longer use, and delete an API key if you believe it has been exposed. Deleting an exposed key prevents it from being used for future OneUp MCP authentication; create a replacement key from the API Access page before reconnecting.

Your API key identifies your OneUp account to the MCP server. Keep it private and revoke it promptly if you suspect it has been exposed.

Use OneUp in a Chat

Start a new ChatGPT conversation, then either select your OneUp plugin from the + menu or mention it with @ in your prompt.

Try asking:

  • "List my scheduled posts."
  • "Show my connected social accounts."
  • "Edit my scheduled post for tomorrow."
  • "Schedule a post for my SaaS category tomorrow at 2 PM."

ChatGPT may ask for confirmation before OneUp actions that create, update, or delete data. Button labels and menu locations can change as ChatGPT evolves.
